Honestly, if I was that dude, I would have laid the fuck into his mother. Her cowardice and idealism led to his infection, not his lack of response. If they had listen to him in the first fucking place....

Worst part is that even though it was 100% to drive plot, I know so many who'd be like her. "Let me put both my children at the highest risk possible and use guilt as the motivator to get what I want."
