Nah, I've met a lot of people who have kept their addictions hidden from everyone but those they use around.

From ciggies and meth to DMT and heroin. There's ways to hide it all and be functional. You'll be surprised who around you is on something without you knowing.

I've been part of the drug scene my whole life and still get surprised by how little people notice functional addicts, myself included and I know all the signs.

With cigarettes, we can always smell...it doesn't help that she wears her hair down and isn't wearing a jacket with that blouse and dress.

Though I can see it being easier to hide in a country like Japan where there is a lot more smoking in public places. I doubt anyone would mention it even if they knew.
