I'm really getting tired of these regression stories where MCs believe they can change the future yet they interact with some people as if their entire being is set in stone which is egregious in this story as everything he knows about people is from a history book so he's not even working on helpful 1st or 2nd hand information

as well as the stupid trope where every person, MC tries to push away is some secret neglect play fetishist

I wonder if it even exists a manga that does those tropes correctly or better
or at least one that goes out of the norm

Well, at least this one is a bit different than those "otome games" manga. This one is using history book, and the story might be different since the one who wrote history is the winner so I hope the MC will soon realize this (unlike that mob otome game manga with exact fetish you mentioned).

makes sense, we’re talking about a 300yo epic tale that was subject to exaggeration and 3rd party influence or even straight up twisted truth, some events and characters feelings are bound to be different… that being said that was dumb, I didn’t like the shift from the serious “trying to survive and change my fate” narrative to this dumb ironic “I loved him from the start”… I don’t have a problem with that specifically but the change is kinda disappointing

I don’t understand why he’s so scared of her if in this timeline he’s not going to cuck the other dude and actually do something to get himself killed?

If anyone is curious why history is different from what is shown, as they say, history is written by the victors
the hero who lead the rebellion which history said the MC NTR'd actually NTR'd the MC as he trick the FMC into thinking that he was the boy she met all those years ago (the guy saw their interaction and was jealous but could not see what she gave him). The FMC believed it due to her doubting that the MC was that boy. In this time line, since she has more information from her maid and the MC still having that kindness she saw in him before made her doubt the "hero" and managed to call him out on his lie since he did not know about the coin.

Based on the MC's recounts of history, the MC is suppose to take over the country and become a cruel tyrant after killing all the other royal family members. He then forcefully stole the FMC from the duke' son (the guy at the end) as his wife. The duke's son worked together with his "lover" and others to overthrow the MC's rule and the FMC was the one who assassinated him (hence his fear of her in this chapter) then the Duke's son became king. In reality, the duke's son stole the FMC from him as he pretended to be her first love (who was the MC) to get her on his side. But in this time line, she's more sceptical of the duke's son and managed to catch him in his lie due to him no knowing anything about the coin which the MC had and was what confirm to her that he is her first love.

Excluding how the MC is acting, the country is barely managed as is, the king barely does anything, other than sitting in his chair fucking the concubine, doesn't even imposes some basic don't touch the royals rule.

Is "Tyrant" is just history written by the victors in this case a bunch of aristocrats who got Robespierre`ed ?
