I do like how the MC's primary reason for avoiding derailing so hard is to keep the plot predictable instead of maintaining some vague standard of how things "should" be.

You know, I think most of the characters here are just kinda...crazy. In that sense, this was the perfect artist for this story.

I feel like one of the biggest influences to the artist for this series is The Looney Tunes! There was comedy in the WN, but it wasn't quite as cartoonish as this.

Yeah, that chase definitely has Road Runner and Coyote vibes to it, especially the twist finale...

Just read the a little bit of the WN and LN. The artist definitely took a huge amount of liberty in cooking the adaptation. None of the Milk sensei forcing Weiss to chase after Lilith and bollywood ahh chase scene were in the OG works. Which is fine as long as it doesn't alter the story. Manga has morw potential in terms of delivering comedy since it has both words and visual.

To think that I almost dropped this manga because I didn't like the artstyle. Turns out the artstyle is perfect for chaos.

this is way funnier than i thought the series would be lmao the instant love and weiss passing out while sonic rail grinding is genuinely hilarious. I hope the original series mc is cool n they don't have too many issues with the og plot

For anyone that read the novels, does this ever get serious...?
Im not asking because I want that, frankly Im okay with it remaining a silly series.
...the thing is it feels so weird how the original character MC is replacing went and abused his maid and then almost raped this girl and they not only forgave him in seconds but fell in love with him.
On one side, good for MC, he didn't got hit by the bad karma of the previous owner of that body... But it also feels kinda fucked up.
And like, the only explanation for now is "the maid is a yandere assassin" and "Blondie noble is too nice and falls in love quickly" so the two of them are simply quirky enough to forgive him.
And that kinda of thing is okay but dumb for a comedy. But it will feel like utter shit if this series ever tries to get serious for real.
