Clarise is able to control the nobles better and still shows some concern for commoners. If she hadn't been there, the nobles wouldn't have come to apologize, and they would have walked out once it wasn't accepted.

For the sake of the country, I think the best pairing would be Clarise x Prince, Jade x Teresse.

She sticks to the status quo to a large extent, but when she realizes injustice, she is quick to correct it. She doesn't abuse her position and she doesn't allow others to. If she had the right people by her side (e.g. Teresse), she would be the best choice.

In one chapter all three prideful nobles bit their tongue, changed their mind and led to a happy ending at the same time? Come on author, those aren’t characters. Those are plot devices — and shitty ones at that.

It is really jarring to see differences in perception of things. I can't imagine a world where some reddening from a slap would warrant a bandage or even gauze. That isn't to mention to use of a cowl. I suppose it is played up to give some more reason for the apology, without causing a more violent starting event, but it just comes off halfassed, because of that.

I would laugh though, if I saw someone using a bag of frozen peas or a frozen steak, as a stand-in for an ice pack though in one of these comics.

Fuck the prince and this bullshit ring, he is just a stupid character that have a even more stupid romance with the MC. I agree that she is a born queen but they don't have any chemistry at all and they only stay together 6 to 10 pages in this point the knight is a much better character and the relationship thay he has with the MC is much more organic.
