I think I missed something. So, the attack was real and mysterious in nature, and not something the Barvelian pulled out of their ahh to justify the invasion?

It's orchestrated by a third party that none of the characters seem to know right now.
Sound like the neighboring country's ploy, given their strange "voting" event was conducted at such a weird time. They could use it as an excuse to delay making their allegiance known, then wait until both sides incur heavy loss to sweep in and reap the benefits.

Anyone know what's up with that little girl? First coming out with trebuchet out of the blue, then recognizing exactly what the poison is, now suggesting a modern age agreement on weapons ban.

Unrevealed yet... but seems like the story is going in the direction of "the ancient respected spirits of this world are just people that've crossed over from our world/other worlds". She's probably another crossed-over person like Kazura is.

The personal alarm Valetta threw some chapters back is a massive chekov's gun, that thing is going to make its way back to an earth-person that knows what it is, 100%

Well, such is the world we live in.

Anyway, not-Ormasior-sama-yet is interesting. They seem to know something about what's up, and possess seemingly-supernatural abilities, and can turn into a human/wolf/uribou, and know about a lost soul(?) that probably belongs to the skeleton of maybe-Greysior-sama.

Is Kazura similarly not Greysior-sama-yet? Seems likely, but then what's going on? Is it a more of a title, rather than a name? And what do we bet there's someone like Greysior or Ormasior on Barvel's side, isekai incarnation or not.

And is not-Ormasior-yet from Japan? Doesn't seem likely to me, although that doesn't rule out them still being from another world. And is she 300 years old, or did she somehow find out about the spirit through other means?

The issue with that is that Barvel is much larger than Arcadia, there's zero chance Arcadia eliminates it as a threat. The vote is weird, in that it distances the outcome from the leadership, both in terms of control and responsibility. Are there maybe events happening east of Crayluts we don't know about?

They are going to be voting by using two colored stones. One could hardly ask for a system more ripe for abuse (do keep in mind that detailed population censuses are from the 19th century, before then it was largely estimated), so the authorities do not necessarily give up control, while getting to tout the "will of the people" flag to shut up anny dissent. It's as easy as adding more stones to the pile. Unless of course there's an overwhelming preference for the undesirable option, then it might be tricky, since even if you cheat, you're risking an uprising.

Geeysior was actually just a Japanese person who did the same thing the MC is doing, helping the locals out but ended up dying to the lord who tried to kidnap him. He was the dead body in the beginning. Considering the mansion is an old home that was inherited by his parents that his parents inherited, its probably an old family home, hence why the souls feel related.

I would like to know why Barvel is just so adamant about this war and why they attacked the castle garrison and broke the ceasefire so brazenly while acting like that wasn't a big deal. I have to imagine in this society and culture that breaking a ceasefire like they did is not looked at positively.

Considering in the past chapters that they talked about how Barvel wasn't really in that good of a position and situation (I think it was a famine that somehow miraculously turned around based on the conversations with Zirconia and that Barvel woman). Just as Arcadia wasn't (until Kazura/Valetta). The difference here being that Arcadia clearly just want to be left the fuck alone while the country of Barvel seems hellbent on invading anyone that they can for some reason. And it seems more pressing than just "lol, conquest, I want those lands."
