I'm a bit confused about the old man dying to a fruit part on page 15. Is he talking about himself? I don't remember anything about such an event so I guess Ill have to read it again. edit: Oh he didn't die to it. It's the first page from the manga. It seems the fruit hitting his head is what made him recall his past life and death. Or I guess he mean that he thought the old man died from the fruit and his soul came and took over the body, which is the strangest interpretation since he also remembers everything from the old man's life and it's just weird for someone to die from a citrus fruit as these are usually somewhat soft, and aren't large enough to be that heavy; I mean, he didn't have any wound or head injury.

It's nice to see he's just concentrating on leveling up. Too bad he can't get skills from plants and insects; I guess insect blood is too different.

Man I do miss this one. There’s something about it feeling kind of random but executed in a good way. And his demon side is kind of silly looking but it’s neat how he obtains skills. Can’t wait to see him go all out more.

Thanks so much for the translation!

Well this is Isekai Fantasy so the fruit might hard as rock in their case XD
Well yeah, but as you can see in this chapter, he peeled the skin (despite being said to be tough) and is eating it; it looks like it's a regular citrus fruit and nothing hard like a coconut.

But really, in the first chapter there is no mention whatsoever that the old man died. He looked clearly knocked out but he didn't have any injuries. The old man already had the game skill too and the only thing that changed from getting hit by that fruit was just the added memories from his other life. The only way the old man "died" was that he now felt like someone else due to the memories but, by his own admission, he kept all his old man memories and it seems that there was no personality change because he always had the mentality of someone mediocre.

Maybe what he actually meant here was that the fruit reminded him of his death from his previous life and it's just some ambiguity in the Japanese sentences. Oh well, it's not too important.

n yeah he steadily become stronger there, n if just his luck can grow pass 5 there too...
XD...
Honestly, he's already unbelievably lucky. He's born with a pretty crazy game skill, which to be fair he didn't know how to use until getting hit by a fruit and then he met the lady who gave him a cherry fruit (which he's multiplying with his game skill for infinite stat boosts and) from which he got a rare "daywalker" skill instead of the usual stat boost which is now allowing him to steal and collect all the skills. It's like watching dominoes neatly arranged in a line collapsing one after the other; he's just hitting the jackpot again and again.

At this point, should he ever get a boost to his luck stat, he'll probably trip on some pebble and that'll somehow lead to him becoming an immortal god.

In the first chapter, the fruit has description of "A fruit with tough skin but delicious." Although I don't think it should peeled the way it was drawn in this chapter, based on the previous description. So I guess it's either, artist just draw regular orange, or the MC had grown much stronger than he was in chapter 1.

it doesn't have much context in manga. In novel mc describes that he doesn't know whether he is always the old man, and being hit by the fruit awakens his past life memory, or the fruit kills the old man, and mc takes over his body, so he roughly assumes that the old man (before mc awakens) has died

lucky? no no, he wasn't born with crazy skill, he was reincarnated with cheat skill, his luck stat is only 5, and so far I've read into WN right now it's still stuck at that, but the series of events that led him to become strong have a (still vague) reason behind it, waiting for the story to unfold

Well I don't dislike citrus but idk about it with soup versus like an after meal "dessert" or being able to juice it/make it a smoothie

Aw, cute considering his luck is so low I'd expect it to look like a "monster "/something ugly he couldn't take into town like a goblin

Guess it's a limit not stealing from plants/insects but I wonder if he'd be able to steal from other adventurers unless he'd also have to kill them

Lol the rental house, how convenient tho I'd assume he'd also have a tent if he rly needed it

Pfft didn't expect the house to throw him out that way versus some corporeal spirit asking for more

When he died? From the citrus fruit his endurance and strength where really low. His first appraisal of himself has his strength at 10 and his endurance/stamina at 7.
Durian for example kills 10-50 people annually.

Since he had game skill from the beginning, I think he just remembered his past life but yeah MC seems to think the old man died.

But the price is somewhat reasonable(?) (i don't remember how much the magic stone price is:wtf: is the price being mention yet?)

Maybe it's a permanent stats?
In some title you can increase it, but maybe in this title you cannot :thonk:
