If it is the axe, I'm happy it got dropped in a big 2 week dash of chapters to end, rather than having these last couple chapters spread out over months.
I could see some others keeping it in 2 part structure and then posting 1 part each month, resulting in 13 months of inevitability, rereading a dozen times because you keep forgetting the plot...
