awkward for the mc to die this early but i think there are a few isekais where MC becomes like a zombie/undead/lich/etc lol

I imagine he'll go back to normal later otherwise it'd be kinda tedious to only enjoy blood versus the meal sets he can buy

my theory is because a lot of BL work have some very "different" art.

you know what i mean. you don't need to read the title. one look at the cover art, you already know it's gonna be BL.

and that's fine for the maniac. but for a lot of us, that means the story is just that. BL. there's no depths to them. the character of the character is just being gay, all hot and bothered.

some BL work is not like that. and that's the ones that i read even though i'm not gay.

now Yuri manga have a more diverse characterization. and the art is usually not as extreme as BL.

my favourite BL manga is Prunus Girl. it's already finished. the story is nice. check it if you want.
