This is a gender bent world with the same biological realities as our world. The black smiths are women designing equipment for women. A 7 foot Polidoro who maintained the gender standards of our world and actually trained his male body can easily handle this type of Zweihander built for women a quarter of his strength.
This is what we call being confidently incorrect.

This world does not have the same biological realities as our world. Men are simply not as physically strong (or numerous) as women. If men could be as strong as women, Villendorf, a nation that favors strength and power above all else, wouldn't be run by a woman.

Faust didn't train to maintain gender standards of our world. He actually frequently rejects them because he knows they are incompatible with the world he lives in. He trained because his mother told him to, which was incredibly strange for her to do.

The most important factor to his strength is that he was born a superhuman. Someone blessed by the gods. Faust is essentially a completely unique anomaly in the world.

His sword is not built for someone a quarter of his strength. It's built specifically for people with super strength. Like Faust or Reckenber.

I'm not getting the sense of that fight scene :questionblob::question::questionblob::question:
He used the ground (stone bricks from the bridge) to pick up dust and debris to block her vision, shocking the girl. In a panicked state she put a guard stance, but his sword and momentum rips her armor and halberd in half, effectively slicing her. Now if you asked why and how can he do that... I don't know, maybe because the pole of the halberd is made of wood?
