I read somewhere that it was totally axed, as the OG novel was also axed after 1 volume, so this story in totality has no continuation from any angle.
I.E: It's really not worth feeling anything for these characters, when we're not going to see this going anywhere.
Shame.

The Author who has stuck in the lane they choose for 6 volumes? Yes, the hook was made, but this is essentially still volume 1 for the LN. The story bounces between Fausts difficulties with romance and having a wife, his warrior prowess, and the political connections of a feudal society. Particularly his own in what is the HRE by any other name, in what is effectively the 1300s Europe.

You can choose not to like the direction of the story. That is perfectly normal. But this is a very purposeful death for the two major characters it effects. Zabine and the Princess. None of the other guards really matter as much. Yes, you can track personality traits onto a few of them, but their importance is negligible.

That being said, the Manga sure did draw out and change the events here.

comick is just a tracker that shows you who's transited what, you can then use that info to find it at the source, or at least know to look for it on a pirate site.

As for why they removed it, no fucking clue. MangaDex does that a lot and nowadays you can't find a whole lot here, keeping your reading list on multiple trackers like comick and manga updates is a good idea just so you know what you're missing.

I guess people are unaware that even light novels and manga can have expansive world building and a cast that comprises more than a single male character and then tits bolted onto the same female body type over and over.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that I don't care. Block every group that locks chapters for a while to drive some traffic to their site instead of reading purely here or whatever, and you lose 80% of all translators. All that's left here are some solo hobby translators and a very small minority of groups who don't do it.

You can't tear something down without building it first. This was a storyline and conclusion that needed to happen in chapter 53 not 13, the manga's barely started and it wants to build a skyscraper without building the ground floor first.

It's realistic. You want translators to do this not just for free but at their own cost in every sense of the word, if they lock a few chapters ahead of time to recoup costs or whatever that doesn't affect me negatively.

If you have read the LN, would you recommend it? The art of the manga is pretty good and I've enjoyed the recent arc, so I'm inclined to stick to it, but I'm curious. Unless it's like the backwater swordsman manga where it's just an entirely different and better experience with how the characters are written and portrayed.
