Eh... you can try to explain it a bit but a lot of that was just the author scrambling for anything to make sense and having it barely make sense in the end, especially with the fact that they apparently invented the robots in the future and sent them back to apparently help/harm themselves? Meh, weird manga ends weird.

One thing I always wonder with axed series, did author just scramble whatever ending? Or in the long run it would still more or less go along those lines but with proper build-up?

Either way as usual publishers cancel anything that isn't slop self insert

It's definitely a case of the author being told to wrap up,so things that would've taken 10 or so chapters to slowly process are now compressed into two,but otherwise understandable,the only left unexplained is the expected goal of sending the Cosas back in time,since clearly they're not quite preventing the future.

If the author really planned this it had to be with more chapters in mind. The world building and characters were very good for 15 chapters, but then this brick wall of exposition hits trying to tell an entirely different esoteric final act. It might have actually worked if given 30 to 40 chapters, maybe.

I'm not a fan of how it ended, but honestly this scuffed delivery of the author's odd reincarnation cosmogeny is still better than all the fucking self-insert "battle against the fake god" bullshit stories being pumped out. Seriously, if I see one more damned video game, manga, or movie based on gnostic theology I'm going to lose my mind.

Not the best ending but could have been worse. I wish the author had more time to flesh out the story more. Nothing much the author can do about a rushed ending because of cancelation.
