I understand that the Japanese have somewhat their own ideas about the eroticism of certain parts of the human body, but are they really so sexual for them that female characters constantly have to be shocked by the sight of a guy suddenly taking off his top?

No, Kiruko is not pregnant, Ishiguro literally confirmed on his Twitter that Kiruko had their period when they left the Ministry of Reconstruction in Nara with his own in-universe calendar.

I don't think being Japanese has anything to do with a senior citizen (who already acted like a chūnibyō) who's brain got transplanted to a younger body that's now going through puberty, being shocked/embarrassed when she assumes one of the youths (who is old enough to be her grandchild) is coming on to her.

One way or another, I keep seeing this trope in a variety of titles. Even in Blue Box, although Chinatsu is an athlete and has probably clearly seen bare-chested men.

It's hardly unique to Japanese media, getting embarrassed and flustered by a guy coming on to you and taking their top off is a common trope in plenty of non-Japanese media.

I don't think it was about being taking off the top, the way it was phrased and pictured clearly hinted at something else imo. And once she realised he wasn't taking off his pants but wanted to show her those spots she calmed down pretty quick as well.

Superhuman Maru never gets old :meguupog:

Ew, that thing was gross, I can totally understand why she snapped.

Are you a robot by any chance
lmao, getting called out by a literal (humanoid) robot :pepela:

Kiruko became pregnant from Robin's sperm because he loves Robin , otherwise his body would reject Robin's sperm and not get pregnant.
That's why he begged Maru to leave Robin alone.
I finally read this manga again after several months.

I can't believe the pregnant theory is alive again :v

Thank you for proving why sex education is necessary in schools.

Anyway, I think this may be another experiment by Robin considering we had the flashback with him recently. Interestingly several of the skulls were placed on top of the machines, possibly because the child was trying to recreate what happened to them and "make friends".

It's not alive at all actually. There's just a few weirdly fixated on it. One of them just got banned apparently. Not surprising.

Anyway, really fun chapter. Kiruko was really shocked seeing that child as part of the experiment. Throwing up in shock is a reasonable response. I wouldn't consider that a weakness. That's just human. Also, are we getting closer to Kiruko's feeling for Maru? They're at least continuing to deal with this transition. Can't be easy. That robot knows what's up though.

This is exactly what I'm talking about, this trope regularly pops up in a variety of media
Well your original comment seemed to be implying that it was something unique to Japanese media. Which I am arguing that it isn't.
