This manga has me wrapped around its finger. It literally has so much potential. I love the post apocalyptic vibes.

So this Director want's her brain transplanted in to a fucking 15 year old, just to achieve pseudo-immortality.
Aight.

seems like we finally got our answers. That institution was solely build for the purpose of achieving immortality by artificially birthing children and taking their bodies.

if the theory that the children part happens in the past is true, could Maru be the baby ?

@Kdom I never even though that this could be time jumps, but that makes complete sense! You just kinda blew my mind thank you :)

Top tier manga right here. Ever closer to Akira in style and quality. Thanks so much for the TL.

I bet the "director" is a parasite/symbiont, some shit like that.

Things are starting to piece together. Some speculation:

The doctor who was mentioned who seemed older and scarred might be Dr. Sawatari, who performed a brain transplant on the dying Haruki into Kiruko's body (who might have sacrificed herself for her brother). It's consistent with the description of Haruki feeling a heat on his head, and being unable to move or sense, until he's spent a long time recovering and connecting to the new body's nervous system.

We also heard that Robin investigated some disappearances of kids after, and then disappeared himself. He might have been made into a new host for the doctor, which would explain him being a doctor with the Immortalites for a while, though he may have become the doctor's apprentice as well.

Pretty sure brains being implanted into robots was mentioned during that arc with all the people with prosthetics. Wouldn't be surprised if thats what the directors had done by this point.
