Just from a purely logical standpoint, it'd be better for humanity to side with the coexistence group.
Sure it's under the yoke of another species, but it sure as hell beats being turned into disposable products.

Although, if I'm being truly honest, I'd side with the coexistence, and gather a crowd to help to generationally weaken the demons, to the point they have been brought down to human standards, or domesticated.

Like, given how they do need/want humans and their energy, it seems like it would have been way simpler to just put themselves in charge centuries ago.

After so much chapters have passed, we still have no clue whether Kanra and the little girl in from his childhood is the same person. The only indicators that they might be the same is how affectionate she is towards Kaoru, and they both have black hair.

Now, I do have a theory after re-reading the first chapter. Could Kaoru be a rare male demon descendant or hybrid? It was shown that he's been spoiled by his mother and sister, and he isn't very close to his father. The reason I think there is a chance of this is for plot reason, so that he's the key for humanity to have a chance of survival. Kaoru being the rare incubus.

On page 7 Kanra says that the control faction‘s view of humanity is “vermin that shortens the planet’s lifespan”. So if this related to environmental pollution, than this wasn’t much of an issue centuries ago.
