If the church can bypass the backlash of killing blessed by dropping them off on an island for monsters to kill.

Then the MC only needs to sail a week or mores distance from the island, leave a small boat with a post, put Bie on it with some nice new stone bracelets, poke a hole, and portal away. They could even chum the water for a few days before letting the priest go for a swim.

That should make it an indirect death, with enough distance, that the backlash shouldn't fall back on them.

Unfortunately, if she's close enough to hear them conversing fairly calmly, she's definitely close enough to be heard yelling out in shock. Also, I think she needs to actually see people to use her powers, not just hear them, hence the blindfold they used on her and wanted to use on his sister.
