Why genderbend tag?

It would need to have some kind of relevance to the overall story to add the tag. It's more of a gag than anything else.

Oh. Well, alright then. I wonder if his genderbent form can use magic or something? At least, if I had to take a guess on why.

Not sure how I feel about that becoming a bigger part of the story, though. I don't dislike genderbending, by any means... It just feels late to add it in now. Guess I'll just have to wait and see if it's done well!

It takes a lot for me to get over my annoyance at genderbender/crossdressing getting inserted into shit it ain't need to be, but I gave Dara-san a shot despite that and I love it, so I'll keep at it and see if it gets too annoying to deal with.

I didn't get it at first, but around chapter 40 the gender-change potion(s) become quite recurring. There was a long Witches Festival arc where Komugi was a girl the whole time, aside multiple appears per volume. Since "genderswap" is a theme tag rather than a genre one, I don't think it requires the thing to be in most chapters when it's still been in a lot. For comparison, there's a decent number of series where a theme tag is relevant to a major character, but not the protagonist.

And treating "[it's] for comedy" as disqualifying is ridiculous in general, but especially in a comedy manga. A theme is better quantified by prominence then some idea of "(plot) importance".
