I did NOT expect to take an emotional sucker punch right in the heart on that last page.
Now my bucket is full of tears.

Damn, the world racism will just end like that, if we are innocent as ars :qq:.
But fortunatelly no, we don't live in that kind of worlds
In our world racism would be gone if race-baiters and politicians weren't using it as a way to gain power and influence. There is also the people that use it as a scapegoat to avoid accountability, or to fuel a victim/superiority complex. So in words other power/money maniacs, the arrogant and the lazy are the ones keeping it alive.

Nice chapter. I didn't expect the puppies to be Vridra's children (it was basically the uncle taking care of them all the time) and from the very beginning, Ars is already winning hearts! Anyway. Yuura and her mother are wearing shorts under their skirts...this manga is so family friendly!~ :nyoron:
Thks for the translation~
Puppies?

Are they attempting to completely whitewash the fact the bandits tortured, enslaved, and murdered people?

In incredibly grotesque and cruel ways, at that?

This isn't nobility. It's naïveté. If Ars lost, do you think they'd extend the same courtesy? Absurd idealism.

Wait, he is putting the former criminals (oppressors) and the refugees (oppressed) in the same camp/area and having the former work as a security force.

Even if he has screened the worst ones out that is still a horrible arrangement.

It's all good, but not everyone reaching that level of wisdom yet and not everyone ready or want to learn that differences. Before reaching that level of understanding, many conflicts have hurt everyone. But this is a great lesson for Ars to strengthen his foundation. Also, I hope Yuura is okay in the future, because somehow I feel like there's a flag raising somewhere, hope it's not a death flag (for triggering something inside Ars).

That's also bothering me, it's good that Kakyu use those already well-established resources for his gain, but I hope he also punish them, maybe like low salary or overwork them.

So... I have a little thought about the future that we know it may happen... I think it would be an interesting idea if Ars really does fight against Kakyu, what I mean by that... I think there is an interesting twist to that happening that instead of it being a tearful situation, it is more about them manipulating fate.

Let's say that ultimately Ars HAS to kill Kakyu, instead of it being an emotionally turbulent situation, Kakyu accepts that, and they plan it out a little to "maximize" the situation, he gives his farewells to the people he loves, and instead of going with pain in his heart and regrets, he does it with his head held high, leaving his family well.

It would still be sad, but I think with a little tweaking there is an interesting development there.

Obviously, there are other ways this could go too, but I think the essence of the idea could make for something more interesting to see.
If we're going by the WN then the plot point actually has been foreshadowed in earlier chapter,
This manga already departed far from the WN, though, so who knows.

Humans have two reactions to things they don’t understand:
• Fear
•Horniness, as evidenced by the 10k+ demon girl tags and 5k+ monster girl tags on a site for cultured people.

Also I can guarantee that at least one person reading this when he saw that girls wings and scales whipped it out and started beating it, there’s always that one person in the group 99.9% of the time.

Your pinpoint is almost right on the mark but also miss at the same time. What you miss is.......one fraction that will change Ars' future. Let's say....his future bride

Wonder if its a "we gotta fight, show me your best son", or like that one myth/story where the king was destined to be killed by his son, only to eventually be mercy-killed on his deathbed after raising the son well.

Which myth is that? Never heard of one like that.
