‘Tis decent. Seems like the story wants the reincarnation part to not just be a spontaneous thing, and is headed towards making it much more relevant— at least, that’s how the flow of the story felt like. What I mean is that all her main conflicts will in some way or form is personally connected to her as the previous empress or something, rather than just miscellaneous stuff she stumbles across and decided to spontaneously fix. It does fit the title though, she can’t leave things alone. If the thing she can’t leave alone is affairs from the now-fallen empire she missed, then all the better. So I hope it doesn’t disappoint in that regard.
It doesn’t quite lean well into its strengths save for illustration quality. Not art direction or creativity, I mean strictly that the drawings are drawn clearly. The lines are clean, y’know? (It just looks like that in MangaDex cause of scan quality or whatever. Look at that delectable jpeg compression! Just being facetious, hehe) Stuff like the monster or character design? Not the best. Not even a lick of chainmail on my girl? I don’t care much for weapon and armor dweebs nitpicking everything, but I expect much more practicality outside of a boob plate. One person mentioned the wolves are ugly, but it’s not just that. They‘re husky-sized. Wolves are twice as big as that, usually being as tall as the average human. And these are supposed to be man-eating monsters? It’s just… Disappointing
As of writing? It’s a 7.5/10. It could be a solid 8, but it just doesn’t hit right. Honestly would’ve been a 6, but I enjoyed it well enough.
