I think it was said before but with Mary's experience in combat situations she was still able to imagine the MC being an enemy even after they warmed up. So most likely he copied the skills of Mary and Marl right before this matchHe isn't copying the weapon skills, since he doesn't have any rings on. I think he just trained really hard and can predict and dodge their moves, while using their own buffs?? We see against the ninja he was able to fight her at super speeds. But I don't really see how it'd be possible for him to be able to keep up with the twins, since he should be moving at literally half their speed?
But yeah, him using fireball makes zero sense?? Either one of his opponents also has the skill, which would be pretty contrived, or he somehow has a piece of gear equipped that lets him use a skill? The latter of which seems like a very odd thing to have had never appeared yet, if it existed. Incredibly strange they didn't address it, but I guess it's all part of the guise that he can still copy his ally's skills, and the trick he's using will be revealed when his opponents figure it out
Maybe a custom gear that looks like the fireball skill? Similar to the pistol his last opponent had?
Gear enabling the use of skills was brought up in Fine's original arc. The draw back is that they're limited in use before they break. But yeah, him using fireball makes zero sense?? his partner, she has many skills, a jack of all tradeswhere is he getting the fireball ability from
The problem is, they're too friendly. He can't copy from Fine anymore.his partner, she has many skills, a jack of all trades
AH so that's it. I completely forgot about that, great catch. Wild callback to what was a pretty insignificant momentGear enabling the use of skills was brought up in Fine's original arc. The draw back is that they're limited in use before they break.
At some point it was mentioned how Fine learned all of their skills through effort, so perhaps he actually learned the skill through training in that short time.where is he getting the fireball ability from
then maybe the one who wields a swordThe problem is, they're too friendly. He can't copy from Fine anymore.
Technically it was a pretty significant moment, that's how he was able to copy her the first time to learn the list and figure out that the claim of 108 skills, while true, was grossly overstating how much of that was useful in combat. It just wasn't a significant detail the first time the moment was relevant.AH so that's it. I completely forgot about that, great catch. Wild callback to what was a pretty insignificant moment
