IIRC Fine got her 108 skills just by practicing them, no? You can learn low level skills via practice, it's just that they're still low level so they aren't super useful in the arena. Fine made up the difference by having a lot of them.

So with that in mind I imagine Mikagami trained to learn a handful of useful skills.

Man, they really just let the shitty twins' comments play. You're supposed to be keeping up morale, why can't you twist their words around and rile THEM up instead?

He isn't copying the weapon skills, since he doesn't have any rings on. I think he just trained really hard and can predict and dodge their moves, while using their own buffs?? We see against the ninja he was able to fight her at super speeds. But I don't really see how it'd be possible for him to be able to keep up with the twins, since he should be moving at literally half their speed?

But yeah, him using fireball makes zero sense?? Either one of his opponents also has the skill, which would be pretty contrived, or he somehow has a piece of gear equipped that lets him use a skill? The latter of which seems like a very odd thing to have had never appeared yet, if it existed. Incredibly strange they didn't address it, but I guess it's all part of the guise that he can still copy his ally's skills, and the trick he's using will be revealed when his opponents figure it out

Maybe a custom gear that looks like the fireball skill? Similar to the pistol his last opponent had?
I think it was said before but with Mary's experience in combat situations she was still able to imagine the MC being an enemy even after they warmed up. So most likely he copied the skills of Mary and Marl right before this match

Gear enabling the use of skills was brought up in Fine's original arc. The draw back is that they're limited in use before they break.

Thank you for not dropping this! Was worried this series had ended up in translation limbo.

After hard work and toil, the original translator came back -- while the sniper don't appear to do anything here for three months. Glad to have you all back, always been the one supporting you for this translation -- thanks for not giving up on us despite being sniped!

What kinda plot armor will the author cook? Bet Fine will just say at page 2 the next chapter with: "Just kidding~"

Damn, now that gaming the system! Just test to smallest possible size that the system recognizes as the "weapon" and you can use all those skills regardless just by using a ring? That's the type of shit the gets patched out! ...I also completely forgot Fine was someone with a NEET level confidence...

AH so that's it. I completely forgot about that, great catch. Wild callback to what was a pretty insignificant moment
Technically it was a pretty significant moment, that's how he was able to copy her the first time to learn the list and figure out that the claim of 108 skills, while true, was grossly overstating how much of that was useful in combat. It just wasn't a significant detail the first time the moment was relevant.
