I mean, I don't believe we've ever seen Fine remotely interested in anyone else besides him.

It could've just been that she was gay this whole time and Mikagami was her first love.
You can even tell with how she insisted on referring to him as a friend that she doesn't even perceive it as love because this is the first time she's ever been attracted to someone like that.

Though... I guess now that she's a woman, she's essentially straight now lol
I don't even think Fine is gay, I think she just never had someone to connect to like she does Mikagami and thus no romantic aspirations at all before, gay or straight. Sex was probably pleasant, but it was kinda meaningless since there wasn't anything deeper than fucking.

Then she meets Mikagami and suddenly she has a peer who's just as interested in skills as she is, who values her opinion and expertise and well... probably kinda hard NOT to fall for the guy at that point

A bold move, Cotton! Let's see if it pays off with the marriage.

Also, don't think I didn't see that Chekhov's Gun being loaded on page 8:

"Someday, you're bound to lose...I will never lose."

You sure about that, Chief?

it seems that the author will evolve from 90% coliseum fights to something like 50/50 fight and world expansion

I am okay with that. We've got more than enough in the harem, so it's time to move away from just fights that we all know MC's going to win until the second act low point where Mikigami actually loses and loses spectacularly hard.

Lose to me and I will marry you.

Classic middle ages

but I suppose the whole point of the manga is that this slavery is only horrible for background of characters and oooh its bad if you lose, otherwise things would be berserk/innocent levels of grim.
In this world the loser can be gender bendered and then piped. Don't take it seriously.

Hey, he said it, after all: Vol. 3, Ch. 14 Pg. 23 / 32
He might just pull it off.
Will she allow him to pull out though?

Loses to Desmos and she will pipe him with strap-on.

Well, as is often the case in these series, Fine is MC-sexual lmao

Fuckin peak. Not only do we get a very interesting story and premise, great fighting and action, superb gooning scenes ... but we get a TRUE HAREM ENDING?! The story actually somehow led this kind of route possible by utilizing the slave system to get each girl to have a relationship with him, and it'd be weird to abandon the rest while picking one. This is peak.

Glad to see some actual goal other than usual arena fights, and a real harem protag.
People keep talking about raised flags, but I can't see MC dying or losing a fight since it'd lead to either a gender-bend arc, or even worse- a NTR arc (losing a harem member). Both of them would result with a loss of sales I'd say (latter one especially). But then again, with a Japanese author, you really can't be sure that they won't pull a 'I wanted to subvert the expectations' out of their ass... So let's just hope they won't take that route.

Okay? Just because ‘he said it’ doesn’t mean he actually will. Mikami runs his mouth off constantly in this series, it’s kind of his thing.

You're not wrong but on the other hand, every single person who's thought he was all talk because he runs his mouth constantly has gotted fucked, usually in both senses of the word.

But Desmos is being set up as an almost insurmountable force that even Mikami can't overcome. Like, she is head and shoulders above anything Mikami has faced so far, at least in terms of raw strength and power. Honestly, I'd prefer if Mikami simply won her over in some way, instead of just beating her in a fight or something.

Rayearth are not returning with waifu from isekai. plus it not a Harem MC. Since when Rayearth is isekai harem?

MC here wanted to have harem and return back to Japan and possibly can travel back so he can keep his harem in anyway.

you should read better mate smh.
The talk was about Isekai and returning.
In Rayearth the main protagonists by the end can go back and forth to Sephiroth and married and came back for their lovers.

they didn't get married mate. it might be but there is no canon confirmation plus that not a HAREM. we talking about harem MC as this manga MC is Harem Isekai Protagonist.

Rayearth is shojo manga, not even reverse harem manga.

the full talk is how MC is Isekai harem protagonist that wanted to married and return and possibly come back and forth with his harem/ wife.

read the full context. sure saito didn't married all his harem but he did have harem at some point.
