Read again the chapter they came up "they subjugated a Behemoth at 18" so they're at least a few years older than that, like Alice in here that's 19, or Rebecca in Cyberpunk there are girls who are old enough and have a petite body but are just short, if you don't like it it's your preference, there's many people that didn't like the nun because they thought it was too fat. I myself don't like those with abs or the ones that get genderbent because they were guys and can't help seeing them like one it'd be fine if they were just friends though (not trying to make a pun).

But majority of Male Readers aren't really interested in direct Gay sex plots, as that's primarily a market more enjoyed by Female Readers.

Though Japanese Male Readers do enjoy Yuri/Lesbian plots, atleast when it comes to Hentai.

Problem is, MC is currently restricted to only inside the City.
And there isn't much to do outside for a slice-of-life situation to focus on, as the city is a Fortress City.
While apparently everything is available, but the main focus is the Coliseum, so there isn't demand for other stuff.

There is also the fact that, for the girls, a slice-of-life situation is basically having sex.
I mean, for example the Muscle girl, her only focus in on being strong and having a partner who can help her get strong. She isn't interested in anything else other than those and sex. So, a slice-of-life situation is basically not possible for her.

In the end, we have to keep in mind that MC is himself a slave as well, so he isn't really that free to do slice-of-life stuff.

Technically speaking, he can still do a training session with her. We had that type of scenario with other harem manga where a girl is a martial artist. But yeah, i don't think slice of life fit the tone of this manga. Maybe some side chapter but definitely not a main one. I just think that overall, for the type of tournament focus manga like this. The formula should be expected. Freaking Record of Ragnarok been going for almost a decade at this point and it's still just 1 tournament, lol.

And I’m sorry every one your ‘examples’ is utterly ridiculous. You literally listed a bunch of shounen manga. Ofc they’re not gonna have ‘dating’ in them because the focus is on the fights and their main audience is younger boys. And even then, Fairy Tail has a decent focus on romance, so again, your example doesn’t work. And every single example you listed has slower chapters that aren’t focused on fighting and instead on developing it’s characters and their relationships.

You’re acting like adding a few chapters where Mikagami actually hangs out with the girls instead of fucking them 24/7 would be some insane thing to do and people would drop the manga over this. Again, we know pretty much all the girls in the harem have feelings for Mikagami. What is wrong with taking a little time to explore each of them? Instead of them just essentially being sentient sex dolls.

Like, I’m simply asking for this series to break free from the rigid formula it’s stuck itself into. Every arc plays out EXACTLY the same. I just want a little variety, I’m not asking for a massive, sweeping change.

I don’t read that, but from the summary and tags it’s a completely different type of story. It’s not a harem, action/romance manga. In a harem series, I’d like to see the MC actually spend time with and deepen relationships with the girls in his harem. That’s not exactly a wild request.
