If that is the case, then they are already dead.
At least most of them should be.
It either drains it evenly, in which case the people with lower mana pools are already drained
Or it drains it completely from 1 to 1 to 1 individuals, in which case they are also dead.
These spells are very taxing on even the monsterly amount of mana that MC even has access to, there is no way normal people can support them more than once or twice.

This is your regular reminder that (I think that) mind control plot devices should be completely avoided in stories unless used very carefully and/or are very kneecapped power-wise. Have a reasonble method of dealing with it that doesn't turn into a deus ex machina macguffin to actually resolve/break it.

They can very easily ruin a story with how they destroy character agency.

Talk about a forced drama plot line here.

It's so literally textbook, including the art, I suspect that instead of a lack of inspiration, the author is actually mocking the whole Shounen Fighting Trope here, including the sudden attack of "Must Save Everybody No Matter What" our MC has.

Anybody else get upset when the TL group doesn't care enough about the series that they can't even get the spelling of a name right in the SAME PANEL??? Page 8, middle panel. First instance on the right is spelled Madara, second instance is on the left spelled Madera.... 'cmon people... if you are that lazy, just drop the series so someone else who actually has interest in it can pick it up.
