Yep. same reason why youjo senki anime was kinda mid too. It failed to capture the intense inner monologues of the characters that reinforce their misunderstandings.

Probably the only anime that did it well was Monogatari. It's basically a feature.

And honestly... the way this manga handles its comedy... If it were to fly up and out, it'd probably knock out a dragon menacing a princess 100 miles away.. Or penetrate the HQ of one of the many Evil Cults, stirring them up for later, or....

I get that the author wants to show how amazingly powerful Yuuji is, but I kinda wish he'd just slipped out of the tent and hid in a tree or something. If all he had to do was demonstrate he noticed them, it would have been cool for them to assault the tent, realize he isn't there, then have him casually call out from behind them.
