He is killed by cain, or close enough (his death might be caused by what he used to fight cain) at the end of this arc and his lands are essentially stripped from his family and given to cain.
For more direct spoilers, this moron tries to get cain, teles and the empire's princess killed by helping rebels from the empire(or republic, been a while since i read the wn, so forgive me if i get names wrong, just switch republic if it's republic when the time comes) attack the school's students on a trip to the republic, besides the utter shitstorm of diplomatic relations this would cause between the empire, republic and esfort, he directly betrayed the esfort royal family and the country by leading a rebellion more or less, seeing he's about to lose, we get our first real taste of what the gods are afraid of with aaron(whatever the evil god's name is, keep trying to call him aaron) when corigino uses something like a crystal he eats or something like that to become aaron's apostle, giving cain the first real fight he's had in the series, cain wins and corigino dies either to cain killing him, or due to power overload killing him, can't remember exactly, afterwards all the nobles involved including the imperial nobles in the murder attempts have their territories and lands stripped from them and most of it goes to cain if i remember right.

As for the consequences of this specific incident, they can't prove he was involved, but corigino's house just "happens" to be hit with a natural disaster destroying half of it out of nowhere .

As far as Tubby cares to admit, Cain is still just an emotional child. If you kidnap someone he cares about, he will do whatever it takes to help them, even risk his position. He doesn't seem to realize he's up against an Isekai Protagonist. Also there's not just Cain to think about, kidnapping the store owner's family will give sway over them, and he possibly plans to have them do something to Cain

While I completely agree with you, besides the looming threat most of us forgot now (the big bad) this series needs something of an antagonist to spice it up a little. Even if it's some scooby doo-tier shenanigan.

why would him being OP cause that noble to not do anything? He's been antagonistic towards Cain from the beginning and has had his pride ruined a few times by him. these types of people have the strain of the stupid virus that not even death can cure. as far as that noble is concerned, Cain is an upstart noble and he probably doesnt buy half of the stories he hears about him.

The fact is people do stupid shit all the time in real life. Is it really any shock that people in fiction also do stupid shit? the MC being OP aint gonna stop people from doing stupid shit.
