The lesson of this story: when our current society is a boot that stamps upon our neck, people want to go to another world not because they want to be in a world without boots, but because they want to be the boot themselves.

Isekai is escapism literature, after all. It's generally written for stressed, not too happy people, who dream of another world where things would be easier and/or more interesting. Few would want to move to another world where things would be ever worse for them personally. So, the MC needs to experience constant success.

When she first opened his mouth I thought she was gonna talk about how education and quality of life should be brought up first. To, y'know, not recreate nobility in all but name. The only difference is the illusion of class mobility.

To achieve democracy, people need education first and then actively pursuing it. If people doesnt even comprehend democracy, collapsing monarchy or feudalism would only ruin the gear of society. She only think monarchy is needed 'right now' because stability for other political system is not possible at this moment.

Despite how monarchy being shit on at curent era. Its actually the best possible option during the start and lack of technological civilization.

The people are (primarily) uneducated, perhaps it is because the nobility prevent them from obtaining education, or perhaps it is because they are literally too busy trying to produce enough food for their population.

Yeah, such high taxes sucks, but at least with education the farmers could get the knowledge and technology to automate or lower their burdens, giving them more free time, which can be used to plan a rebellion.

The thing is that MC's actions don't line up with her or any of y'all's arguments.

At the start of this chapter we found out she started a business using unpaid (what happened to all the gold she had earlier) child labor, and that one of the things she's having her child workers do is test products made from ingredients that probably work like ingredients from the real world.

Which just... I feel like you gotta match the air tightness of the plot to the tone/complexity?

There are a lot of stories where I would overlook a ton of stuff that didn't make sense or would obviously cause problems in the real world because the story clearly isn't trying to be taken seriously.

In this case it's infuriating because the author is expecting us to overlook that MC's business is an exploitative mess AND think she's super smart re: politics.

What on earth are you talking about? She's giving the orphanage work with the express assumption that any or all of them could drop it if it doesn't make them enough money or they just don't like it. You don't get terms that favorable from contractors, let alone OJT for students, and she kept this up for several months before formalizing the company, essentially hiring them straight out of the orphanage.

Where in the hell would you call that exploitative? On whose standards? You see how well dressed they ALL are afterwards, right?

She's not even making some super-enlightened point about politics. It's simple enough: forcing your own vision on right on people you've never talked to is going to fail. Prince is just picking a fight with nobles he doesn't like and using the commoners as his pretext. It's shortsighted and naive, you don't need to be a genius to see that he doesn't have an actual plan.
