I wonder if Anis lashed out so hard because she didn't want someone else to go through what Al did again. After we learned about Al's backstory, it shows how much he cared for Anis and that all of the twisted things he did was a result of him trying to protect her from all the disapproval and hatred.

Once she realized that, she decided she'd rather play her part, instead of having someone go down a dark path like before. If Euphie takes Anis' role away from her, she'd just be offloading all of that burden to someone she loves again, like she felt like she did to Al. Just my 2 cents at least.
