I enjoy this manga, but it's weird to me that this whole dialogue about the throne has been so exclusively focused on Anisphia's sense of worth as a princess. Of course that's a valid conversation to have, and she should be reassured that she's valid and that she has done enough, just as it's understandable why she feels the way she does. But what's weird to me is that she has uttered not one peep about how unfair it would be for Euphyllia to have to throw herself on the sword of becoming queen, just as much as it is to make Anisphia inherit the throne. Neither of them actually want it; Euphyllia is only willing to take it--and sacrifice her humanity to boot--in order to save Anisphia from it. And the only reason the throne is such a burden to either of them is because of the regressive, heteronormative sociopolitical state of the country, but they also aren't talking about ways in which they might fix the issue from that angle.

From what they've actually discussed so far, it seems like Anisphia--as long as she can be reassured that she's valid and has done well as a princess--would be totally fine with Euphyllia completely sacrificing her existence by becoming a spirit contractor, inheriting the throne, marrying some random noble man she doesn't love, and having his babies before retreating from human society to live forever, alone.
Have you considered that maybe when you are having an emotional breakdown you don't have the attention span to worry about other things? They're working through the first problem, give it time.

Amazing! 🙌 A conversation between two human beings in my happy-go-lucky-turned-suddenly-super-dark yuri isekai manga? Now someone just has to tell them Anis can be the King and Euphie can be the Queen, easy peasy.

Also Tilty being top tier, such a great character.

Thank you for your work! How I love this story!

I feel so sorry for Anis, she really doesn't deserve what's happening to her .

Because of the kingdom, because of those nobles who are obsessed with magic and can't see this poor girl who, despite her lack of it, is still trying to create a new concept of magic, which is also useful for all those who, like her, can't use magic, which, if I remember correctly, is reserved for aristocrats and nobles in general.

Coming back to the character of Anis, I simply cannot understand why the spirits did not accept her as a reincarnation in this world and why she was therefore excluded from the use of magic. It was mentioned that 'reincarnates' often bring a revolution, a change, to this world, but why they are deprived of magical power I did not fully understand.
Maybe they though she would do better or have a greater positive impact without the gift of magic? She probably wouldn't have made magitech if she had magic.

You probably forgot because it's been a year, but they start volume 7 of the manga by teasing the fight between them in chapter 37.
when i rewatch, it still didn't really regain any impression. Tbh, that scene rush that quite a lot. like here you have the flashback and and detailed explain that "motive" with a whole backstory, a lot more emphasize, have room to breath. In the anime, even though i actively look for it, "oh yeah, the dialog about THAT were there huh ?"

Isnt this retard reincarnated
whats with this nonsensical obsession out of nowhere
You'd be obsessed too if you were born in a place where it's common practice, practically like breathing for anyone around you, and you were the only mofo not able to do it...
So no fight, huh?
The fight is after they Talk cause Anis can't accept Euphy's sacrifice and her role getting stolen, ( iirc euphy propose that they fight)

her problem is she has the integrity to be king but not the might leverage necessary and she knows it, meanwhile everyone keeps sacrificing themselves to give her a way out and she HATES that

Ah right the people that care about you... The useless rulers who can't do nothing. Those who wasted years not fixing anything. And now those who expect you to shoulder their entire backward system:
Your royally useless parents!
:wooow:

They literally explained in the recently previous chapters why they can't change the system too much themselves and why Anis has the greatest chance to do so, as well as their regrets about the situation.

The series has not been shy about showing the stuff they had to deal with themselves, not to mention their everyday work.

It's literally printed in plain Japanese English on those chapters. I know some people read this because they thought it was a battle manga and dropkick their brains but come on.
