@ChiristineGuinn I'd say people don't really understand love, but well, need I say anything?
However I'm not sure transgender are a good comparison here, There's the whole problem with hormone treatment, and also that those changes can be temporary. There's also the case with other situations like Soy products. And lastly there is also the fact that some people still won't change sexual orientation even after both cases I cited. So it may be that people only think their sexual orientation have changed, or maybe not. It's not an exact science really, at least not yet. There's much to be learned,.

The only reason one would be against this ship would be because they want a Yuri end solely because it's Yuri and not because it would suit the story the best.
No not really he came last and is pushing ahead of the rest? no
As for people complaining about change in sexuality, if none of you would actually read anything other than manga, you would learn that even in real life, changes in sexuality of trans people is quite common, and that's in real life, when transitioning is done as an adult and via surgery and hormones, while in this manga and most others, the sex change tends to be down to a chromosomal level, changing completely into a girl.
I understand the biology stuff fully but I already read Boku girl and others for that.
Don't want the same predictable end plus it was shown in this and those stories the characters still had feelings for their crush but had no motivation to push on with them for some reason🤷‍♂️

I agree, it's almost completely predictable as the romance plot is pretty much the same as Boku Girl.
I am completely sure by now, Hina will likely end up with one of the boys.

The Heroine in gender bender manga tend to be useless as they are very similar to 3rd wheel girl in most harem manga which the MC has crush on until the another girl introduced as the real shipping.

These are the example I know
- Kanojo no Naru another
- Boku Girl
- Idol Pretender

Feelsbad for the crush man.
Even if it's not Yuri at least let them do something about the ship first before asspulling on last few chapters.

Yep, that's my problem with it. For a long time, Kyousuke has been more of a secondary character, most of the time in the background and never as involved in the plot as the rest of the regular cast. Now he's been pushed as a potential romantic partner very, very fast.

Also, Hinata, who had always been reticent to explore the girly side of things (remember when this very arc started and he was having lots of trouble just with walking in public in a sailor uniform?), now was willing to do lots of girly things for Kyousuke. Yes, a friendly face, but again, not one that had been in Hinata's mind very much... until now. It's like: "since when was Kyousuke supposed to be so important for him?"

@Invader_Retro Just because he came in late? If anything I'm happier that a rival who comes in late actually gets a chance, almost all the time they're given 0 chances of winning.
You say predictable but if Kyousuke wins, how would that be predictable considering how little screentime he gets, I want quality than quantity, which Kyousuke has.
@Misticsan Read chapter 9, Kyousuke's introduction, Kyousuke was the trigger behind Hina dressing as a girl in that chapter as well, in fact she had very little problem doing so for him.

@Nari Proven by whom? So far it was still under research and nothing was proven yet. I've never heard of any studies showing 100% of certainty that there's no relation with reprodutory development problems or emotional disorders.

dropped this series, I'm legit shocked as to how the author has managed to kill this series in like less that 5 chapters OTL fucking waste of time, 40 something chapters and this is what we get.....

Finally, a chapter that actually had nobody saying anything negative. This manga is weird in the sense that it keeps goes back and forth between denial and acceptance.

@BloodySorcerer proven by the fact that we know the type of estrogen in humans, and we know that specific type of estrogen does not effect humans, will some people experiences differences when consuming soy? yes, but thats called the placebo effect, they ASSUME soy which has estrogen will cause changes, so they act out those changes

@dokidoki i will never understand people like you tbh, dropping a series because someone falls in love with someone you dont like, or the manga is no longer "gay" .... im gay, but dang idc enough about who the MC likes, love is love man

but thats your choice, you do you.

@Darklight99 EXACTLY!!!!!, whats actually predicatble is the MC getting together with the girl .... heres why
from the start were under the assumption MC is straight
from the start MC likes the girl
the girl clearly likes him back atleast a little
MC used to be a guy, so in their mind its "not gay" right?
the girl has been involved and hinted at being the love interest the entire time

on the other hand, the new guy is new, he doesnt even have a face, he is presented as a side character ..... how the hell is it predicatble that MC falls in love with the guy rather then the girl? that is the LEAST predictable pairing here!!!

Amusing. The bolded part is the exact thinking that brought the "heteronormative" up in the previous chapter comments. Ok the change is completely into a girl, so why must the new girl now be attracted to a guy? Can't she be changed into a lesbian? Unless you consider lesbians to be less of a girl than straight/bisexual women.

And also considering what I read a lot of the "change in sexual orientation" is self reported. https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0110016 Here is one research. And I'll quote conclusion:
"In line with earlier reports, we reveal that a change in self-reported sexual orientation is frequent and does not solely occur in the context of particular transition events. Transsexual persons that are attracted by individuals of the opposite biological sex are more likely to change sexual orientation. Qualitative reports suggest that the individual's biography, autogynephilic and autoandrophilic sexual arousal, confusion before and after transitioning, social and self-acceptance, as well as concept of sexual orientation itself may explain this phenomenon."

Another putting things together https://bit.ly/2L5qjm7
There are more, but I can't be bothered to look for all. Because the fact is "We don't know exactly.". Claiming that "Sexual Orientation SHOULD change, because of hormones." Is just self serving. As it's equally valid for sexuality not to change. We have example in the world for all the cases.
And finally if you think "well the change is complete, the new girl is completely a girl, in mind, body and soul, so she should be attracted to guys." IS heteronormative. That was the whole point of that.

Honestly my point is, please stop bringing biology up for why things SHOULD be in a manga, or "it makes sense to go this way.", or any other justification. When reality is, it doesn't matter. If a story wants to write a Idol Pretender type story, where the changed is now attracted to guys. Or if the story wants to be about the changed still only being attracted to girls. They can both be valid and plausible. Regardless if they are about magic or "science" type changes.

@lilmagi Well said. A "like" system would be really helpful here.
This point here: "If a story wants to write a Idol Pretender type story, where the changed is now attracted to guys. Or if the story wants to be about the changed still only being attracted to girls. They can both be valid and plausible."
Is the exact reason why I criticized the writing in Idol Pretender instead of the event itself. It's why I said that the ending was extremely forced, with the author forcing situations to explain his ending, instead of things naturally progressing towards that ending. Same problem I had with the ending of Boku Girl, because by then both possibilities were equally viable, but a recent arc had shifted the mc's view more to the original love interest, instead of the growing childhood friend one. Although personally, the Loki possibility was rapidly growing, specially because Loki seemed to also like him back.
