Southern continent alchemy was re-established but disconnected from the greater sphere of knowledge.
It explains the lack of shared terms and concepts.

so Library works like coding. you can use pre-existing function in library as long you import it.

southern continent didn't import that library ane re-write new function from scratch.

so someone without library basically write code and function manually.

There's a huge difference between being overworked to death and busy doing what you love.
Busy doing what you love is like a kid playing and having fun the whole day, then fall asleep after spending all of her energy. Being overworked means she has to keep working in low health for days months or even years, then died.
So, busy playing around is technically a slow life imo.
