Re-reading. Pages 15-16 are switched lol

So anyway, how come he couldn't survive but the kid could? I see that he spun so the kid would be on top but uhhh I can't physics.

There has apparently been a case where a pilot survived a fall from airplane flying height so it's not entirely impossible, and since the actual god of the world is in on the plan they could probably manipulate things enough to have the child survive.

In the MC's case, he could have died during the landing from the impact or the god could have just straight up killed him and transferred him after the landing.

What an insane scenario 💀 I know it's fantasy but the dude will either be known as a prophet and saved one little girl, or a psycho who failed at kidnapping a little girl and simultaneously a potential terrorist.

I'm no airplane engineer or accident site inspector, but I don't believe that airplane was in any critical danger to begin with. Unless there was a second bomb that exploded shortly after the dude left the airplane. As it is, all the airplane had was a limited hole in the bottom part of the fuselage, which didn't seem to cause any catastrophic issues with the functions of the airplane, seeing how the dude had all the time in the world to sew his flying squirrel suit.

Yes, I'm no expert, but the mangaka was even less of an expert! Or maybe the dude just got scammed by the suspicious goddess. He would have lived, just like all the other passengers, fine and dandy after an emergency landing, but the goddess made him believe everybody's going to die, and so he jumped. Too bad.

I'm honestly more invested in the story of how he saved the kid (why did they remove the details after he jumped out?) and the aftermath for her and their families. Maybe some about the reaction to his act and recording, both the mortals' and the gods'.

Even if it was just a short-story, I wish they finished it before switching to this one :/

How did you see that? All I saw was that he skydived, and that he then was floating on his back in the water after he died.

Aftermath in Earth will be briefly explained in a later chapter.

The sfx "ぐるん" means "spin", so he spun so that he'll hit the water surface first but yes, the illustration is really vague so idk the specifics. Maybe to avoid myth-busting readers lol.

Reality is funny like that. Depending on what you fall on and how you fall, it is possible to survive a fall from any height.

That's because humans, depending on some factors like the hardness of the surface, their shape, their actions in fall and the position they fall in, have a potential to survive a fall at their terminal velocity, as in, the maximum speed a human can achieve when freefalling. Since once you reach said terminal velocity, it won't go up without some sort of propellant, the height beyond some point just doesn't even matter.

But yeah, that is a bit different when you're in a plane crashing with a lot of hard surfaces through which you could bounce about...
