I really don't understand why people had a problem with that one, the "gods" had nothing to do with it. The story clearly explained from the start that the people had their physical characteristics heavily influenced by the spirits that blessed them. She was the only person with dark features because she was the only one blessed by the dark spirit, so it's extremely reasonable that her features would change once she was blessed by spirit of light, one of the most influential and powerful spirits of that world.

As far as villainess isekai goes it was kind of middling even before that point. But if villainess isekai is your kind of thing, go nuts

a good argument against it is that it kinda undermines her progress in the story. She had saved enough people and done enough that she was starting to be recognized for her own merits by a few people. However, instead of changing how people saw her, that blessing changed her to something people would like more even though she had already done so much. It still works for the story as afterwards she calls out her family and everyone else that flocks to her after the change for being shitty right before the end. However, outside the prince and soldiers etc. she's still judged on her appearance due to a whim of the spirits rather than her actions. So, the story doesn't feel that cathartic.

Too many of these mangas give their MC a disablity or something 'different' like the dark skinned villainess and only treat it as a gimmick that needs to get cured for the happy end. Or they do away with the gimmick in record time like that masked villainess manga...

I find it a bit funny that the isekai part is so non-existent someone asks how MC knows what white looks like. Though even if the Isekai part didn't exist any more than it does now, she does actually have magic sight from before this chapter. I imagine she could learn colors though that?

I will say though that "rainbow eyes" gives me more dread than MC getting her eyesight back. I'm suprised nobody is talking about that

I guess my opinion is unpopular but I, for one, am very glad she's gotten normal sight. I wouldn't wish blindness upon a child. She could see power or whatever but it's awful to not be able to see.
This is why I can't be an author, I'd never let anyone good suffer..

Does it really change much? Due to MC's magic bullshit she arguably had no need need for eyesight anyways, as the magic vision was slowly replacing the need for it. Her child body is a much more limiting factor than her inability to read.

I'm happy she's no longer blind, but that was her main charm point. Well, other than having Daredevil-esque "vision" with magic, but still. I'm conflicted. These better be some damn good peepers to warrant removing her main trait.
