Not particularly high stats. But the queen isn't usually a fighter. Well, unless we're using game logic, and since we're using game stats, it's rather unusual.

That's a good counter argument. Kill-stealing themselves. She's smart. Well, she doesn't think she can just overwhelm him with suicide attacks, but that doesn't make much of a difference if not enough of them are left alive.

I like this development. It's interesting.

That queen ant sure was lucky her opponent was Irushia. It's not often you can successfully negotiate with a hostile entity seeking your destruction. She had left herself quite vulnerable by using her MP to heal her subordinates.
Irushia keeps leading different species of monsters. At some point he'll be allowed to become a demon king or something. XD

The queen knew he can handle irushia when she know he need exps 😄

Thanks for the new chapter. It's been so long that I had forgot about the story details. Was it the same in the novel?

In any cases, I like this Ant Queen, because she is freaking smart for a monster.

It's been years since I read this arc so I can't say with certainty.

But as a whole, the manga has been mostly faithful to the novel.(I know there are differences(like scenes with Laplace?) that are shown early on instead of revealed down the line)

I can definitely recall negotiation with Queen was similar if not near identical. Queen was just as good in novel.

You forgot the queen said she and her hoard would commit suicide if he didn't agree, earning him 0 Exp. In the end, he had no choice but to attack the other nest. But at least he got back-up.

He is already lost his chance when he decided to negotiate. And smart queen get her priority to weaken other colonies first before the other colonies eventually attack her weakened colony

No, she is REALLY smart, she managed to redirect a potential doom of her nest at her enemy, which then can result in mutual annihilation. It's win-win situation for her.
The enemy of my enemy is problem for tomorrow, they are useful now.

More then likely she isn't good at combat, she also realized whoever poisoned them had intelligence to scheme so negotiations may be possible.

End of the day she had no choice, irishia despite him being scared could have used hit and run tactics to wipe them out. And even if they got lucky and beat the mc, the other ants would have likely wiped them out

Having said that, Necoco hasn't posted a new web novel chapter in quite a while, so Cheldra might be caught up to the raws.

With the announcement of the Necoco's Heavy Knight series getting an anime, they are probably super focused on pushing more light novel content on that series right now.
