One worry I have is all side characters seem to get written out after each arc. Is wight going to evolve, only to be written out later? What about partner head after MC's next evolution

Ok so here are some spoilers about the companions in 3 categories:

So from this Arc forwards most of the companions will be permanent starting with our little Wight

As mention in the minor spoilers most new companions will be permanent, later during the next arc Black Lizard and Myria will return and during the last Arc almost all the past companions will return, btw some will die and others will betray Ilusia

Spoiler: MAJOR MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT FUTURE COMPANIONS

So most of the new companions will be gathered during this and next arc, after that there will be more recurring ones like Myria, Black Lizard and Meltia, the story will suffer a very big shift starting Arc 4 (next Arc after this one) and Finally most of the BIG plot will be unveiled like who is the main villain and most of what is happening in the world, it will also start to take a toll on Illusia and it's why no new companions will be joining him, as the power scaling will be absurd and no living thing will be able to keep up without slowing him or outright dying, During the last Arc Black Lizard, Myria, Meltia, Mia, Ball Rabbit, Adoff, and some members of the Lithovar Trive will return and play important roles

I've read the novel but I stopped a long time ago. One thing that greatly annoyed me was that

pretty much every new skill Irushia learns goes to his other half now. I don't even remember a new skill he learned up until he finally meets his dragon dad.

The main reason this happened is because Partner is the support, and almos all the abilities he gets as an Ouroboros are support abilities, When Illusia evolved after Partners death he gets all the abilities Partner had and looses all the skills related to 2 headed individuals, this happens right at the start of Arc 5

Considering a lot of Irushia’s companions were drawn cute, I’d say it should be safe to assume it would stay cute, even when it evolves

I feel like there's gonna be a problem further down the line... They share skills, they share a body--Right's got majority control but left's got access to all the useful skills most of the time. Left also seems to give the impression that they lack a "compass" like Right has. Irushia's in trouble...

My guess is that some future evolution will allow them to split apart into individual beings.

The whole fake life fight reminded me of one that I saw in one of my games of Gold, Gold, Adventure Gold.
In that game one of the rat familiar of a ranger had wandered off to the forest and was fighting a Ent both did 0,1, crite 2 or 3, but the Ent did stun so it could heal.
I just watched the two fo them fight for 30min back and forth leveling up to 15 each from 1 or 2.
It was a legendary fight to see and made that Rat the highest level of everyone in the settlement. Legends shall be told about the Rat vs the Ent.

Just like Wight VS Ent.
