This isn't your average everyday evil human, this is... evolved evil human!

Felt is just here to prove her sword's curry is the best and these guys are ruining the cooking arc :meguuusad:

I feel conflicted on how easily Fran beat Zelos in the manga...I haven't read the LN volume this manga is adapting from in a while but iirc it implied how Zelos was another level to fran and that she couldn't beat him on a 1v1+urushi.

The word has lost all meaning at this point, it's devolved into being an article like "an" or "the".

Right? I honestly wonder how those things sell at all... I tried reading the LN of Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling while waiting for new manga chapters and couldn't even force myself to finish the first chapter. (Thank god the manga trims out so much of the fat...) Are the standards of light novel readers in Japan that much lower? Or does it somehow come across as less ridiculous in the original language? I don't know... although given the tropes in play, I'm leaning toward the former.
Light novels are meant to be easy reading, you gotta remember how many are adaptions of their own right of web novels. They aren't made by "professional authors", they are essentially the pulps and pulp fictions of the modern day. So of course, a lot of low-quality writing and narratives comes out of it.

In some degree, it is sort of like getting angry at DeviantArt for having low standards. This is a corner of the market that's meant to be trashy. And its fine to have low standards.
On the other hand, EVVVVVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLL SOUUUUUUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

I got curious and checked the raws.

I can't really comment on if the repetition of the word 'evil' stands out in Japanese as much as it does in the translation since I'm not a native (or even fluent) Japanese speaker and thus I have no sense of normal.

A lot of the "evil" words are two-kanji compounds, e.g.:
人 - evil human (also given in english in katakana)
心 - evil heart
神 - evil god (same pronunciation as "evil heart")
術 - evil technique
etc.

The other phrases with evil in them use the same kanji:
原初のなる心 - translated here as primordial evil heart
属王威陣 - evil regalia (also given in english in katakana)

I would hazard a guess that since Japanese uses so many two-kanji compound words it flows a lot more natrually, even if the repetition stands out.

That's one hell of a finishing move. Although I do hope she kills him rather than leaves him unconscious, no need for people like him to become recurring.

If that curry can cure status effects, and evolution is treated as a status effect, does that mean that Fran can de-evolve the bastards who mock her for not having an evolution? Or is the evil human transformation just a status effect rather than a proper evolution? Man, I want Fran to use the curry to put snarky furry trash in its place for insulting her.
I think that's part of why she's pissed, because she's searching for her evolution, and these psychos are raving on and on treating a glorified status effect like it's the same thing.

Pretty sure the beastfolk evolution is a full race change, where as this "evolution" is the result of the condition "evil heart".
