Thanks for the chapter! I wonder what these people get out of killing other adventures? If the adventurers have loot, that's one thing, but if they are just doing quests, I don't see a reason as to why one would kill them.

We barely even know this character. I am not invested enough to care about her death yet. And she gets killed by faceless randoms.
She has only ever interacted with our MCs twice or was it thrice? Its not enough to build any sort of meaningful relationship that isn't "OwO look how cute we are together, black cat tribe rise up".

This might not be the kind of story that would kill a deeply established character like Mamanda. Ininya coud be the "best" we will get, as far as this sort of development goes.

While it is true that this is 90% empathy bait.
Its still sad to lose such a likeable character even if we did not get to know them all that much.

She also serves as a mirror to what Fran could have been without MC.
Other than the fact that she is much more social, she and Fran are pretty much identical characters.

And also ....
it's by design that the black cats suffer so much(and can no longer evolve)
It is a divine punishment for something that happened in the past, but a very unjustified punishment as is typical for gods...

A guess: Some people read the WN, some the LN and TenKen has very significant differences between the two. Though I never bothered reading much of the LN, so I have no clue if that's the case here or if you really just misremember.
