If Rimuru himself had seen all this happen first hand I doubt he would've been able to remain as calm as he was in the main story.
I mean he still fucking bodied their whole army by himself, but still. What would've happened here would have made that look tame.

reason : because he like them and because of their retaliation

And because they all know Rimuru like humans and he never allow them explicitly to kill them or strike them first if needed, it's happened...

True, but because Rimuru never specify how far they can, when the time happen, they hesitated and privileged Rimuru's wish and that's finally happened
Even though they could have acted earlier otherwise...

still the whole points everywhere here was that the goblins and the 3 killed them even though rimuru gave them the comman not to hurt humans, that confused some people
