You seem pretty reasonable so far; do you really think that the original chapter or font is so bad that is constitutes a reupload, let alone one 8 months later? Take a look at these two pages, or name two random ones if you think I picked a bad example, and honestly say you think that one is significantly better or worse. Do you think it's unreasonable or a bad idea to say "upload reuploads with new chapters instead of standalones"?

For those confused and wondering why they went out of their way to do this. This chapter got a significant amount of criticism because people thought the way it was handled ruined the impact of the scene. Since this is such a crucial scene to the series they decided to come back and redo it based on what people complained about. From the looks of it many people are changing opinions just so they can keep complaining or they just don't remember or care about the chapter.[which in that case why even comment :/]
While I do get people not liking reuploads or seeing none new chapter updates [especially recently with the mangastream dumps and series like tokyo ghoul needlessly rereleasing chapters] they are trying to make up for what they probably now consider a past mistake

If you only said something really neutral along the lines of "You should release re-uploads at the same time as new chapter uploads.", there'd be no problem whatsoever. Changing the Megiddo scene into a spread page like in this one improved the impact significantly. Not entirely sure why it wasnt like this in the first release, but I am glad they listened and did it. Marvelous.
mmm havent read the LN so the first version was still very impactful but comparing the 2 versions I prefer this one, in the first version it looks like Rimuru had control over megiddo and aim only to vital part to kill quickly, but this new version it looks like he just attacked fueled with silent rage.

@Trezcast scanlators usually do a reupload when (1) horrible TL of past chapter (2) horrible scan quality (3) changes in volume ver. and magazine ver. (what we call fast scans) (4) coz a different team did it and they want to release their own ver.
@Yautja there is actually a difference in the reuploaded ch vs the old one (just a few pages tho) also it took 8 months coz (1) this is a monthly manga (2) volume versions usually come out several months after all the chapters in it have been released in the magazine it is published (3) each volume usually have 6-10 chs depending on the page numbers. So if we count all the months it would take to get a volume ver., 8 months is still within that timeframe.
So if anyone is confused, manga chapters are usually printed/published in a magazine along with other mangas' chapters. just think of it as an episodic comic on a newspaper, ayt?
And then we get a compiled version which is edited and improved kinda like a BD version of an anime.

In fact, it's good and many should do it. And in this case chapter also from tankobon and was redrawn by the author to some extent, which is all the more reason why it should have been redone. If you didn't need it, then just close the tab and forget about it, it's simple.

It really isn't, like I said, read that in a calm, deadpan voice, and it really isn't that bad. Aside from the "fucking" I really don't think you have much of a point, and even then, it's a pretty weak point if your entire argument hinges on that one word, because some people just fuckin' swear. Maybe an apostrophe would have made it feel better, but acting as if that one word makes it terribly toxic all of sudden is ridiculous.
And that goes both ways, "what lacks introspection and self-awareness is immediately assuming the worst interpretation / tone of what someone said and responding with a litany of childish insults." You don't get to have your cake and eat it, by complaining about me not understanding how my words might be perceived while intentionally reading them in the most incendiary tone possible and not yourself thinking about how they're supposed to or could be perceived. Also, who said anything about neutral?
If you think the "your kind" and all that other ridiculous shit is in any way a reasonable response and not far more toxic, you really need to step of your high horse and do a little introspection yourself, and ask why you think one is okay and no the other, a bunch of personal attacks is A-Okay, and "toxic and entitled" comment isn't. Not only is that reaction entirely out of proportion to the worst possible possible interpretation of what I said, let alone best or actual intended tone, it's 100%, unequivocally more toxic than anything I said, and actually lacking self awareness.
You're also not practicing what you're preaching. If you wanna say "Had you actually said it in a better and so much more understandable way, there'd be no argument to be had" you should probably start doing that yourself, and actually acknowledge the comment you're ignoring. And to preempt a response, please don't try the "rules for thee, not for me" and say it's okay because I was "toxic", either you gotta follow your own rules, and acknowledge both you, I, and certainly the other guy should do that or no one does. The worst way to convince some they're wrong or should behave differently is by doing exactly what they did or what you think they did, and not doing what you're saying they should.

I didn't say there wasn't, but acting as if those changes are equal to a remake of a 10+ year old show, or however long it takes for an average remake to occur, is ridiculous. As for the volume part I don't think it's really relevant / too big a difference, but we're already on Vol. 16, this volume / redraw came out in March / April. Regardless, I and several other people clearly don't think it constitutes a reupload, at least not a stand alone reupload.

A little shame they took out the horse reaction face, I loved that. But I agree it's better to go for more epic less humor, it does fit the mood better.
Chapter aside, I see no need to go full SJW here for complaints. I actually find more toxic some of the reactions than the easier to forget short criticisms.
