both the manga and the anime are meh.

I didn't bother trying the novel, since this became just another world building troll story where the supposedly different main character premise was destroyed when he started mimicking a girls appearance...

Where is my slime????

Being a slime became meaningless at the very start of the story when he started to mimic other beings and obtained their skills by eating them.
Not having sight, hearing or feeling also quickly were resolved and it turned into generic isekai dribble with your usual monsters, enemies, every day life problems and deus ex machina superpowers.

Sorry but this is one of the worst stories I've ever read when compared to its initial premise.

No. The LN mentions that there are slimes out there, but they're mindless and tend to congregate in areas dense in magicules which they absorb automatically to nourish themselves. If they appear in areas lacking magicules then they turn aggressive and hunt other monsters.

Is it just me, or Rimuru would be better translated into Limer? Since slime is suraimu, I think that Limer would be a good translation to Rimuru.
