Agreed. Something about the juxtaposition of Aesir examining things for both short term and long term results really sets him apart from other fantasy/isekai protagonists. Like with this chapter, I bet he'll come around in another 50-100 years and be blown away by the results of katana forging techniques maturing.

Basically, he thinks like an elf would.

More katana fellatio for half a chapter. Yes I know it's for a Japanese audience but surely it gets boring seeing them everywhere and exalted as the best ever sword? Other than that nice to see him take on a new apprentice .

Don't know if your brain got too cooked by isekais glazing katanas or it's a matter of media literacy, but in no way or form is this manga stating katana's are the best ever sword. Aesir himself said there's really no demand for it since only this one school can actually use it in the Central continent.

Yeah my brain rotted out from a decade + of isekais where they always glaze katanas. I'm just tired of them, there are dozens of other things you could be using. Shamshirs, Longswords, Jians and that's just swords. How about Halberds, Maces, Poleaxes, Axes.

There's this one manga where it's actually pure katana glazing that they made the villain guildmaster a katana hater 😂 so i can kinda understand how you feel, but at least direct it to the correct targets.

I think Aesir already realized his love for her from the moment he promised to stay with Kaeha, but was too afraid to said it as it would come with an even more painful separation. Aesir kept it in his heart while accompanying her all those years, while Kaeha only said it at her last moment to prevent him from being shackled to her. Both of them keeping those words in their heart as they know their time will run out, and wanting the other person to be happy.
