I don't know, but for some reason, a 20-year-old woman marrying a 44-year-old man is a lot less palatable to me than a 20-year-old woman marrying a 200-year-old elf.

At a certain point age becomes just a number. Certainly age can determine the expectation of maturity, aspirations, & life experience but to a youth the difference between a 60-YO human & a 200-YO elf isn't massive.

Same from a long-lived perspective, but that doesn't immediately make them a creep for having an interest in someone far younger than themself.

Only freaks & puritans obsess over age as a relationship factor rather than a mix of appearance & personality. (It's fine if you are either since you are yourself & not me.)

I think she still did, tbh. If she didn't, then she wouldn't phrase it (at least in the TL) like "but if you still love Kaeha, what am I to you?", she'd just ask "what am I to you?".

This is just the kind of manga where characters have the sense that when someone goes "your entire family are like my children" they accept that instead of going "well I'll make you see me as something more!!".

he doesnt need a lover. why would he need one? he's never hinted at having romantic feelings towards anyone in this story so far. Maybe it will happen but it hasn't happened yet and it wouldn't really mesh well with his character being tied down somewhere and it makes sense too because he's very aware that all of his physical attachments are impermanent.

This one always has such rich character interactions. I love that Kaeha’s family has been soaring strong for so long. I feel as though they might dwindle again sometime in the future, but then make a roaring come back. Such is the eb and flow of life.

I really wonder how many generations of the family we'll go through.
I kind of want Kaeha's lineage to prosper forever and for every generation to become the biggest Aesir fans. I would die from sadness if a bad egg ends up coming out of it and tries something bad against Aesir or fucks-up the family somehow during one of his absences.

Remember, in most lore elves live for thousands of years, and our boy here is less than 200-he is still basically a teenager. Ageha’s time with Aesir was at least three generations earlier than Aiha, and he was certainly younger as well. That might be why it feels more acceptable than a 22-year age gap between humans.

I mean aesir is going to live for 1000 years pretty easily according to earlier chapters so he’ll be able to see another 6 gens probably more depends on how aging affects high elves
though I think when wynn or the girl from the elf union dies it’ll be rough
