Well, when the head chief was the one who stabbed him, I fully expected it to be him covering his tracks by silencing the archduke he was colluding with. But I expected him to be the villain of the next arc, not to have it concluded in the same chapter, lmao.

Kind of surprised the maid's gone for now though, she felt like she had a backstory mystery going on too that never got addressed.

I felt it was obvious he did it, but I also wondered why he would be so stupid as to do it since there is no way he will suddenly not be investigated just because he killed his co-conspirator that he had clearly setup to kill everyone. It's not as if silencing him was enough to hide his crimes, and if nothing else they could simply behead him for killing royalty even if they couldn't find any evidence that sticks.
