Shield boy can go it alone, then. What leader deliberately pushes people to take unreasonable risks when they're tired and low on supplies, besides one with a death-wish? Still willing to blunder ahead against who-knows-what, but won't even spare the time against 5 little Goblins and 2 Hobs to help an unarmed adventurer running for her life. Go disappear in the dungeon because you didn't know when to quit and prioritize lives of your party or friendlies, or face the wrath of the Guild Master when...IF...you get back. Those are your only choices right now.

We gonna see some goblins have fun. Hehehe
Y'all ever see those ads for anime browser gachas that show Goblin Slayer girls and say something like "they drag them back to their nest to have fun"? Whack ads imo. But intriguing.

Thanks for the TL

Bruh. I forgot who that obnoxious guy was but I didn't care enough to re-read previous chapters just to re-remember him. Someone should smack him once or twice though. Hard.

What kind of lame ass adventurers do they have that they refuse to explore an unexplored dungeon, that's the whole point of adventuring, hell dungeons that change constantly are highlights of modern RPGs even on table top adventures

Also, if you run out of supplies, you may have to make goblin soup, gotta do what you gotta do to survive, it is part, of being an adventurer

Holy shit, thanks @Hjek098 for the chapter. And that last page redraw is nicely made I would say!

No one, that's who he is. He's literally random adventurer #6 who just got introduced here simply to provide opposition to Alicia AND a reasonable excuse as to how Suzu managed to get saved on time without it looking far too unrealistic.

It's just a job for them.

Also a job where they can't reload a saved game or even start over rougelike. They either conquer or suffer. (Die.)

And they do have several adventurers exploring the new dungeon, they are just taking the slow and steady approach (to not die), rather than pushing on to try to save the (possibly still alive) trapped adventurers.

I guess the simile should perhaps be one of "earthquake rescue" - rather than rushing into the semi-collapsed buildings and poking everything to see if someone is still alive, you do it slowly and safely so you don't get more casualties (while still looking for trapped people while you go along, but you don't rush ahead out of the safe zone).

-

Anyway, since I'm posting - thank to the redrawer(translator) and their hard work.

Also, according to the description in chapter 1 it seems like that previous team might have skipped a page. Could I implore upon you to take a look and see if that is the case?

The manga is using the lenguage and tropes of fantasy settings established by decades of RPGs

If you want to change their job description, then they will have to call themselves something other than adventurers

They will be dungeonerers, or cave maintenance workers, but not adventures, an adventurer as the name suggest takes on the unknown, face risks, confronts death, and venture were no one else would dare to, they are adventurous

Not some guys on a pay check playing it safe

The "adventurers as Joe Schmoe workers" has been a countertrope for a decade or two already now, so you gotta go back in time and complain to the first "trope breakers" I'm afraid. By now it's a pretty common thing..

(Though, is it really "adventurers" in the Japanese original? I mean, all other Japanese words seem to have several possible meanings, that often match up poorly with English)

I took a look, compared it to the raws, and you are correct. There's is a missing page between pgs 11-12.
