Weird chapter for me to start reading on

Who starts reading a manga at chapter 43?

Honestly, I don't even really get why I dropped it, the first time. I mean, sure, this chapter and the one before it... I wouldn't call them great, but it's a gag manga, and it's not like I'm gonna find every joke funny.

On one hand, I could see this mini-arc being so ridiculous that a reader would drop the series. On the other hand, it should be clear to any reader by this point that the manga runs on insanity.
