@andrmnh yeah i dont doubt her likability, the queen's role depends on the manga though. i've seen mangas where the queen choosing is more serious and instances where there is a strong female mc who does more than just appear at the king's side. this manga is more lighthearted and chill so yeah--the only thing she'll probably have to do is support the king from time to time (like personally bringing him tea at his study or smth like that) and play around with the knights (her fanclub lol). since servants can do pretty much everything else she can do.

So there are three groups of consorts; one that envies her because she's loved, one that loves her because she's amazing, and one that hates her because she's too amazing.

Neat. Also, she's going to be Queen for sure and thus, must learn the proper etiquette and mannerism of one. It's not different than going to college to learn engineering, just to become an engineer.

@Delphine01 Seriously.. They literally already know she embezzled the funds meant for the 31st consort and purposely neglected her duties. She literally didn't do her job even before Feria had moved there. Normally that be grounds for firing and in most stories would be grounds for imprisonment considering it was towards things related to the castle and the King.

I'm personally not liking Kate either. She is basically trying to make her change to be like every other "normal" consort/court lady instead of being herself what was the thing the king liked in the first place. I could see maybe helping her to modify her behavior somewhat so she could function properly in the type of situations she might find herself one day. Instead though she is full on trying to change her and deny her doing the things that make her her and everyone including the king like her. She prefers wearing boots then get some stylish ones made instead of trying force her to wear heels. She likes cooking and agriculture? In what way is it wrong for the queen to understand the literal foundations that support a country plus brings her (and the king) joy?

Id like to add that my country's queen is very much like feria. She engages the public frequently, cooks for her castle subjects, gave jobs to ex-convicts, loves sewing and baking, opened a fertility clinic for women. I do believe a queen's role is more than to just coddle a king.

She's a huge maternal symbol to the public so I hope feria is destined for something greater towards that end.

@Heimdal I'm also mixed with my opinion about Kate, but I don't think their actually denying Feria her individuality. After all, the moment her intense emergency training is finished she's yeeting off those heels, stripping knights to do seamstress work, and challenging her guards to duels. These are the ones who brought in Kate in the first place, so if their intent really was to make her a normal proper Lady then there's no way they would be indulging that behavior.

I feel very mixed about this manga bc the main girl is very like not like other girls attitude and it gets really irritating. But I do like the flow of the story and the development.

A fun and thorough training of a tomboy. Kate is truly capable.
That said, they wanna be careful not to go too far and wear away the very traits that drew the king's attention to Feria. It probably won't be an issue, but it's worth considering.

There will be always a 'first' to all of things...
To be a queen or royalty, you'll need some basic etiquette knowledge, at least while interacting with your subjects be it other royalty on the same or lower peerage and/or foreign ambassador, excluding servants or knights...
Learning some basic etiquette won't kill your personalities and it need to be highly encouraged if not be taken to the utmost priority for 'future queen' or maybe 'court lady'...
So, shit about killing personalities or being shackled by learning etiquette are just totally biased...
How do you like it if you have an uncouth and rude first lady or queen?
Your opinion or fascination bout your own queen doesn't really matter... What matter is other foreign ambassador or countries that somewhat will look down upon your worshipped queen and country... And i dare to say, your country won't have any good standing among your region...
And just like comments above that stated fmc has all innate qualities to be a good queen... Leadership, intelligence, charm, caring bout subjects, heartful personalities, loved by her subjects...
While learning etiquette is just mandatory, i dont really think it will kill your personalities...

When Feria defends her honour by asserting her self-sufficient independence, the lady gets offended and she's been trying to lowkey punish Feria for her insolence.
