Next arc I wonder would it focus on whether human can be co exist with non human without hiding or will it be like a war that would happen between the two and cease in peace and non human decided to erase all of the memories of the witness of the battle and stay hiding like "Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them" movie.

Whatever it is I will wait for it.

Anyway the college arc was great, I really adored Philomela and the way all the thematic stuff came together around her at the end. Some of Yamazaki's finest work, really excited to see what she'll cook up next.

I always like that this series sticks to the consequences of its magic system; even though the arc ended on a positive note, Philomela didn't magically regenerate her fingers. Isaac can make prosthetics, but says straight up that they're not the same as the originals.

I am....kind of obsessed with a lot of the parallels, visual and narrative, between Chise and Philomela, and I hope this manga does not end without the two of them at some point holding hands and entwining curse-blackened fingers lmao

It's refreshing to have a hiatus that ISN'T caused by an author's deteriorating health. With the consistent high quality, a vacation is absolutely deserved. Of course, I want to be greedy and say "I hope it's not a long vacation", but quality comes at its own pace. Just gotta hang in there and not die while waiting!
