it's really good for the first idk like 100 chapters but after a while it starts to get a bit tired, and the mc starts to get kinda dumb in a "classic manwha MC trope" kinda way.

he gets dumb, which is similar to the demi gods that he killed. So you could view that as a side effect. I also assume this dumbness is designed to show that demi gods are much more powerful then humans, and that mc has to overcome this gap. Story ended on the point where mc fell into the trap prepared by lord after the red haired girl died and he lost his sanity to the divinity that he achieved by going beyond a human's limit, which is what they call transcending.

gotta be real with you man i don't think there's a watsonian reason for the author being bad at writing. he just needed the mc to act a certain way to move the story along and having a brain dead mc is an easy way to do that. that's the crux with writing smart characters is they're only gonna be as smart as the person writing them.

It's a bit weird how the number of heroes got retconned for some reason. In the beginning school chaps (around chap 6 or so) they talk about the four heroes, never mentioning Lucid's name, and then later on they just decide to start saying it's 5 heroes, and then Lucid suddenly exists. I assume the author just decided they wanted an extra martial person to balance things out, rather than just Kasajin.
