This reminds me of a found footage horror movie where some guys go to investigate some old church built on top of pagan ritual grounds and when they go underground they discover the old pagan god was literally the cave itself and the film crew get stuck in its digestive tract and end up as sacrifices. The movie is called "Final Prayer"
