Actually, the Patissiere being sliced in the final page is the same effect as Ai being sliced in chapter 1 due to Makoto confessing to her, which is certainly connected with the fact that she looks exactly like Ai (and the fact that he confessed again to her inside the dream).

@likm no, technically the rich people he was a vessel for were the main characters of the other world, the world in his head was his world free of restriction, he got to live life how he wanted to experience not how others wanted to experience it through him
