For those who are about to read it because of the interesting premises in the early chapter, I'll save you some time.

Don't read it, it's a waste of time, if you come for the "plot" then don't, 3 chapters in and the "plot" rarely appear, read some isekai instead.

If you come here for the actual plot then don't, the plot is dumb, especially the character, the MC is literal braindead that will make you face-palm in every chapter, he'll trust everything at face value (even though you shouldn't trust anyone considering the plot) and lack common sense really badly, the white haired girl is just a fanservice and is used to throw some context for the MC (and us), and the kid is so edgy it hurts, I can't see the character will develop past those defining characteristic.

If you come here for the mystery then don't, before every mystery there will be a sudden flashback that will answer the mystery itself, no plotwist, no guesswork, no anything, the right answer is literally the obvious answer.

I can't find any reason to continue reading this, find another, better manga to read instead.

@TwilightFaze

Don't know about you, but college students ages 19-23 were very sex-driven and were happy to experiment. This seems normal

Why use 'were'? Seems more appropriate to use the word 'are', or?

If individuals wanna engage in A 'hedonistic' phase of their lives or rest of their life, they should know that actions has consequences as well.

I don't like promiscuity and it shouldn't be normalized and endorsed by the society.

However, my interest in this serie dropped tremendously. Mainly, because I haven't read this for over 1 month now. And I'll say it again, because the display of promiscuousness in this.

Dropped; 1/10.

@FTU: Only used "were" since it's been some time since I was in a college class. Using the phrase "hedonistic," you give me the vibe you're old-school religious about sex. Nothing wrong with it, but you need to remember that at that age, it's not "hedonism" it's "experimentation." Naturally, there are some individuals who are exceptions to the rule, but you'll find many college students are just trying to find their sexual groove so they can find the right partner. I can go on about this, but this is a completely separate subject to the manga and your point, so I'm just gonna leave it at that.

Anyway, I totally get where you're coming from and not trying to persuade you to read it again. Just letting you know the promiscuity is fake was the point. They were pretending to be in a lovey-dovey relationship but the reality is not a single line was crossed. Just a little rubbing against each other but that's it. Remember that she's
a lesbian. She specifically stated she was romantically attracted to the same girl the MC was, but knows she's straight which is why she never pursued it. The aliens don't know that, apparently, which is why she's using the APPEARANCE (key word) of being in a sexual relationship with the MC when they never had sex on any level. So for that reason, there is no promiscuity, just the illusion of it.
But, and I feel I need to repeat myself, I'm not telling you to try it again whatsoever. You wanna drop it with a 1 rating, that's entirely your call and no one else's.

Just wanted to clear the air is all. Hope you find other manga more to your liking and more frequent for your tastes. :)

I'm starting to believe that Yukiko is ultimately lying about liking Ai and really does like the MC but is keeping it under wraps for unknown reasons

Or she's bi and likes them both

@migh: EVERY mangaka had to be some level of high when they write the stuff they do. Or draw (Read Negimaki Kagyu and tell me the artist wasn't on shrooms!)

And the romance is there, it's just easily forgotten. Remember the reason the MC is involved at all is because his goal is to save the girl he's in love with. The Heroine is also in love with the same girl (but doesn't pursue her because she knows she's straight) and conspires with the MC to save her. Same said girl is implied to also have feelings for the MC. How she's involved is unknown, but she's clearly a victim. One could argue the Heroine is also bi and low-key has feelings for the MC, but there's nothing solid yet.

The plot definitely seems to be all over the place at the moment. With each narrative that is somewhat closed and explained, a new one pops up, and in turn, makes the overall story harder to follow.
I really hope this is just the author wanting to expand the story as much as possible early on, as well a his apparent lack of experience with writing manga (he stated this is his first serialization), but otherwise, this is a decent thriller series.

@TwilightFaze I'm honestly suspicious of whether or not the heroine is in love with the girl. Or rather, I'm suspicious of whether she's in love with her only and not also the MC.

The MC is too darn suspicious after all, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had a similar role and trigger as the girl does. Plus this manga is obsessed with its twists.

@Zenith_Tempest The easy explanation for why she'd keep her crush on the MC hidden is because he's like Ai an integral part of the simulation, with a trigger that would be rather similar. As such if she were to confess to him, he'd be crushed and reset.

She might have a crush on Ai, but I find it all mighty suspicious.

The only thing i dont like so far is the story pace is just too fast.
Since their first encounter with the manager, everything just like 2.0x speed mode.
So many information, character introduction and new plot thrown at once.

The pacing is too slow. The more is explained, the less I feel like I know what is going on in this story. Yukiko is hot and thus a motivation to read, but her lesbianism (or claims to be such) is offputting. The fact that it's possible being a lesbian is just a front because she's some kind of diver from the outside trying to rescue or fuck up the system is annoying. You "know" things about the characters except you don't. Makoto is a non-entity even though he now apparently has top-level specialist powers. It feels like no one in the story really knows exactly what is happening and there's always another level to the command and once humanized they also apparently were just following orders and have no idea what is happening.

So they seem to be playing the romance rather straight. Bit of a bummer since it means there's less and less conspiracies in a manga which claims to be all about that, plus it does kinda make me wonder if there's any foresight to the chapters or if this is indeed going to be the wild ride it's seemed like from the beginning. You'd think though that such an integral character in the plot would get more development, or that our protagonists got to interact with their live interest a bit more.

Ah well, the author might still try to pull the old "false memories" card, but it would probably not change much ("We love her anyway!" proclaims the protagonists!").

Personally I bet the manga will pretend to have a bunch of conspiracies and mysteries, only for it to play things incredibly straight without much set-up.

So Yukiko is actually a lesbian and NOT from the outside then? The author really knows how to ruin my expectations, I just thought it was a long con and she was some kind of infiltrator with a larger overall goal than just trying to munch carpet in peace. And Ai sucks as a main heroine.
